Digital servo amplifiers for drive technology
The digital AC servo amplifiers of the EasyFDS 400 / 800 series offer a precise, robust, and cost-effective solution for modern drive technology. They are easy to program and suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. In addition, power classes with phase currents from 5 A to 300 A are available.
The compact metal housing ensures stability, while an EMC filter and a brake chopper are integrated as standard. In addition, the devices feature 8 digital inputs and 4 outputs, as well as safety functions such as Safe Stop.
Flexible motor control and high precision
The EasyFDS-400 series operates as a single-phase 230V AC controller (5–10 A), while the EasyFDS-800 series is designed as a three-phase 400V AC controller. In addition, the encoder simulation can be flexibly set from 128 to 65,536 pulses per revolution.
In addition, the resolver resolution can be configured to 12-, 14-, or 16-bit, enabling precise control. Furthermore, the systems support 2-, 4-, or 6-pole resolvers, thereby allowing optimal control of brushless servo motors.

AC servomotors from the EBL series are permanently excited, electronically commutated synchronous motors for applications with high demands on dynamics and positioning accuracy. Neodymium permanent magnets are arranged on the circumference of the rotor of the 4-, 6-, 8-, 10- to 24-pole motors. The stator houses a three-phase winding in a star connection, whose electrical commutation, current regulation (sinusoidal currents) and monitoring is realized with the aid of the resolver in a fast transistor inverter.
The three individual phases are each protected by a thermal contact. The integrated motor system can be supplied with standstill torques between 0.2 Nm and 30 Nm, protection class IP65 and rated speeds between 2000 and 4000 rpm.
The resolver is a measuring system that continuously measures the angular position of the motor rotor. In physical terms, it is a combination of a rotating electrical machine and a transformer. It provides three important pieces of information for motor control: the sinusoidal evaluation of the current setpoint value of the individual winding strands of the motor, the actual speed value and the actual value for position control via encoder simulation. Holding brakes can be supplied for each motor. They work with permanent magnets whose force effect is neutralized with external 24 VDC. Reduction gearboxes from a wide range of suppliers can be attached via the standardized interface of the servomotors.
